Pomodoro cube timer or technically known as gravity flip sensor timer is a gadget that makes it easy to keep track of blocks of time. The gadget is a rectangular cube with time written on the face. Whatever time you want to focus for a specific task, select it in on the top and then just put it on the desk. The timer starts running and it will sound an alarm once the time is complete. You then flip the cube to set a time on top for your break. After that you then flip again for focused study or work.

This is a cool gadget for those folks who want to use the above mentioned technique known as the pomodoro time blocking technique. In this technique, you focus on a specific task for a specific time and then take a specific time as break! For example, when I do programming, I set 60 minutes for focused work and then put 15 minutes for a break. Then I continue the cycle. So this helps us to fight the procrastination block.

The Pomodoro timer pictured above requires 2 AAA batteries. There is also an LCD display which shows the time countdown. When the timer is operating, a small red LED also blinks on the top. Note that whenever you flip the device, the timer is reset. Different models offer 4 different time blocks. For example, some supports 5 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute and 60 minute time slots.

The Pomodoro technique is a popular time management technique started in early 1980s and originally it consisted of splitting work to 25 minutes slot followed by a 5 minute break. Usually after executing 4 Pomodoro cycles, a much longer break is taken.
